Community Agreements
Radical Reimaginations of the Futures is a space for collective imagination, learning, and care. These agreements are an invitation to create together the conditions in which trust, curiosity, and meaningful dialogue can flourish.

Imagine towards collective liberation
We gather to imagine futures rooted in justice, dignity, reciprocity, and ecological regeneration where everyone, human and more-than-human, can flourish.. We welcome bold, radical, and challenging ideas, but not visions that depend on domination, dehumanisation, exclusion, or violence against individuals or communities.
Honour decolonial perspectives
We acknowledge the historical and ongoing impacts of colonialism on people, cultures, and the more-than-human world. We intentionally make space for Indigenous, traditional, and other historically marginalised ways of knowing, imagining, and relating.
Listen to understand
Listen with curiosity rather than with the intention to respond or persuade. Stay aware of your own assumptions while remaining open to being changed by what you hear.
Embrace complexity
There is rarely a single answer or perspective. Allow room for uncertainty, multiple truths, and the possibility that imagination begins where certainty ends.
Speak from your own experience
Share your own stories, perspectives, and questions. We encourage the use of "I" statements and recognise that no one person can speak on behalf of an entire community or experience.
Respect people, challenge ideas
We welcome disagreement, critical thinking, and difficult conversations. We ask that critiques are directed towards ideas, systems, and structures, not towards people's identities or lived experiences.
Make space for everyone
Some voices naturally take up more space than others. We invite everyone to help create balance: step forward if you tend to stay quiet, and step back if you notice you are speaking often.
Practice care and accountability
Care is something we create together. We strive to notice power dynamics, centre those most affected by injustice, support one another with compassion, and take responsibility for the impact of our words and actions.
